Helping You Choose a Label Maker

Things to consider before purchasing a label maker

What kind of a look do you want for your labels?

Before purchasing a label maker, think about how you would like your labels to appear. Each method of labelling will give your labels a different look.

How many labels will you be producing per day?

You will want to buy a machine that will work with the volume of labels you need to produce. If you are only producing a few labels per day, a Dymo LabelWriter or Brother Quick Label machine from our Home and Office section will suffice. If you will be producing several dozen labels per day you will want something with a larger capacity and probably greater range of labelling such as in our Office /Professional section. If you will be producing hundreds of labels per day, you will probably want a professional desktop machine which are all found in our Professional section……………….

What will the application of your labels be?

You will need different kinds of label maker for different applications. Do you want something that is less expensive, more professional, able to produce colour, can make extensive use of bar codes or graphics, for example? Dymo Labelwriters and Brother Quick Labels are less expensive and easy to use, while Office/Professional ranges provides a more professional look and greater functionality. Portability may be of importance. Where will the label maker be used? If labelling on the move is needed, then a machine from our professional section should be considered. The maximum size and length of label that the machine can produce should also be checked against your needs. These are all things to consider when purchasing a label maker.
